IT'S SPRING!!!

Happy Spring all! We are so ready for the snow to stop coming. It has been a LONG Winter. I have been gardening for one of the first times since we have been here. I am not typically your green thumb gal but I am beginning to love it. I planted tulips and made our front planter look a little better. We have been busy with numerous things but all in all we are doing good. The girls did an Easter Egg dive but Jimmy didn't get pics. It's a swimming easter egg hunt up at their Aunt Kathleen's pool. They want to do swimming lessons which will be good. Jenna is really tall for her age and Danika is really short for hers. So they are going to be a funny pair come Kindergarten. Landon is all boy. He loves cars and trains and getting in the dirt. He also loves to tackle our puppy Maggie and she is getting so big that he will have some stiff competition soon. I am proud of my family. I love them and feel so blessed to be surrounded by them everyday.

So the girls are going to kindergarten in the fall. I can't believe it. So this was a tad tricky seeing that I have never done the whole enroll my kids in school routine. I was so nervous about what school to get them in. I had heard different things about the schools around here and decided to pray about it and wait. Well one day I was talking to a friend of mine and she said that there was a charter school nearby, Thomas Edison, that was excellent! That same week 2 other people talked about the same school. I was so happy. I also had another friend tell me to get in ASAP because they do first come first serve and then you have to be on a list. I consider this a miracle because I would have waited until Spring or Summer. So I went to the school and met with the teachers and the principal. It was a long process but I was confident this was where I wanted my kids to go. Well there was a chance I still wouldn't get in. Time went on and I actually called the school to see where we stood and they told me the girls were accepted!!! I was ecstatic!!! We are now in the application process. I am so relieved for Heavenly Father taking the time to make this possible. I know it's just a school and my kids would be fine wherever they go but I really wanted to find a school with a good and safe environment. Where kids were equal to each other. They have a dress code here which eliminates stereotypes and bullying. They focus on higher education and one on one assistance. The staff knows each kid by name and greets them friendly. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Wow time flies. Well we have had some changes come about. I am now the RS secretary in my ward. And Jimmy is still the membership clerk. So we are very busy. We are in the process of registering the girls for kindergarten. I hope that all goes well. And we have a new addition to the fam. Maggie. Our bulldog puppy! She is alot of fun. So there you go. This year i put my Halloween decorations up on the 1st!!! I am so excited it is Fall and October. I don't know what we are going to be this year. We can't wait to do the Pumpkin Walk and all the fun stuff here in Logan. I love FALL!

I can't beleive Jimmy and I are 30! It seems so unreal. It makes me think. There are so many memories that come to me and so many people that have come and gone in my life. I am so grateful for all of it and for my life. I wanted to be cheesy and express 30 things that i am grateful for or memories i have had. Thankyou for bearing with me. I want to express my love to my cute little fam! I couldn't make it without you. Here goes:)

MY 30 LIST

1. For God who sent me here and gives me strength.
2. For the gospel and the light is has been for me.
3. For Jimmy and the happiness he has given me, I have never smiled more in my life.
4. For my 3 beautiful kids and what they teach me. I still can't believe they are mine.
5. Memory #1. I remember the old neighborhood as a kid and how we could stay out all night and not feel unsafe. I did my best discovering then and I miss how it used to be.
6. For parents who were willing to bring me into this life and all the sacrifices they made on my behalf.
7. For friends that have come and gone. I will always cherish them.
8. For new friends that lift me up and allow me to be myself.
9. For adults and leaders that wrapped thier arms around me at my difficult times.
10. Memory #2. I love Fall and my mom would make alot of soups during this time. Well every year on my birthday she would make cheese soup and biscuits. It is alot of work to make which is why she only made it on my birthday. Well one random rainy day I came home from work and I could smell soup. I looked in the pot and it was my cheese soup. I asked her why she had made it, being it wasn't my birthday and she smiled and said, "Because I thought you would like it." I was in HEAVEN.
11. For the simple things in life that keep me going. Reminds me to slow down.
12. For a body and mind that works. FOr good health.
13. For this world and all the beauties in it.
14. To live in Logan and how blessed we have been here. We took a chance and it worked out.
15. Memory #3. I love stormy weather. I always pray for it to rain, even when I was a kid. Well one year on my birthday it was really rainy. I think I was 14 or 15. Well it rained all day and then in the evening the sun came out but it was still raining. I came outside and looked up and saw the most beautiful rainbow. It was perfect. I was drenched but it felt so good:)
16. For my home. Even though it is small, it welcomes all who come in.
17. For Jimmy's job. So glad we have one.
18. For my ward. It has really been wonderful. It has broken me from my shell.
19. For kind friends who give us clothes and stuff. Much needed miracles inspired by the spirit.
20. Memeory #4.I remember all the places Jimmy and I have lived. Each place has floods of memories. Alta Pines. Our cute first apartment. What a great start for our life together. I loved it there. Our second apartment at Mansfield. We hated it there but that is where we brought the twins home for the first time. I had so many spiritual moments in their little nursery. And then Mom and Dad's. The girls grew so much there as well as me. It was wonderful to be surrounded by family. And now Logan. We love it here the most. It didn't take long to call it home here. SO grateful we live here.
21. For blessings we have recieved when all hope was gone.
22. For a Savior who has walked with me and understands me even when I am wrong. For His love and mercy when I make mistakes.
23. For Joseph Smith and his devotion to stick with it when most would give up. And for my knowledge that he was and is lagit and that I don't doubt that anymore.
24. For temples and the power they bring us.
25 Memory #5. I didn't always know that we didn't have alot of money growing up. My Dad worked as a custodian and did odd side jobs like fix things for friends and neughbors. And my mom babysat to pay the bills. They worked hard and I didn't always appreciate it. But one thing they did for us was make Christmas wonderful. My mom did most of it. It was really magical. I want to do the same for my kiddos.
26. For my eyes. I could live without alot of things but that is one thing I know I couldn't be without.
27. For trials. They are pretty rotten at the time but they have shaped me and made me so strong.
28. For my sense of humor. I love to laugh and mae people laugh as well.
29. For all the things I do know. I don't know much about alot of things. But i know enough.
30. Memory #6. In Jr. high I was going through a phase. I didn't want to be the goody mormon girl anymore. So I started being disruptive in my English class. My teacher was a patient and kind person. But she also had a job to do and she did it well. I got sent to the principals office and to detention because I was so disruptive. I made the other kids laugh and I got a high off of it. She finally put my desk in the back corner for a while. I loved every minute of it. Well one day she pulled me aside and we had a talk about my sudden drive to be a rebel. She knew I was a good girl trying to be bad. She and I worked out a deal because not only was I a rebel but I was flunking her class. She promised me that she would help me pass if I would try harder in class not to be disruptive. SHe also told me that being good is not something to be ashamed of. If that's who I was then I should be proud of it and not try and be something I wasn't. I passed the class and my desk was eventually moved back. The kids soon forgot about it but I will never forget her and the love she had for me. SHe sent a note in the mail for my parents explaing that I had improved. My mom never recieved it, thank goodness. I kept it in my backpack for the following year to remind myself not to be ashamed of who I am.

Landon is 2 now. He is a big boy. HE loves food and cars.He is adorable and so mellow. He makes us all laugh with his funny personality. His sisters are like little mommies to him and he loves it.He likes to play in the dirt and throw rocks in streams. He loves his Daddy and likes to wear Jimmy's shoes in the house. He likes to throw balls and climb things. He is a bit of a daredevil.HE loves to say " Banku Mommy." HE loves to learn new words and says his ABC's to E now. HE is very ticklish and loves dogs. HE loves to go to nursery and play with other kids. His laugh is so funny and girgley. He loves the castle park here in Logan and likes bugs. He lays on his belly and watches ants crawl around. He can do that all day. We love you Landon!

Jenna is a tall and blue eyed girl. She is 4 and loves her sister Dee Dee. She couldn't say Danika when she was younger so she called her Dee Dee and it has sort of stuck. She is so happy all of the time. She always looks on the brighter side of things. She is really imaginative and likes to figure out little games to play with her sis and brother. She is a joy to be around. She loves preschool and is really smart. She memorizes things so well. Little kids love her because she is really patient. She loves to help around the house and earn pretend money. We have a small store (a green basket of stuff for them to buy) and she works really hard to get money to buy stuff. We love you Jenna Boo!

Danika is 4 now. She is my smallest as well as the oldest. She makes up for it though. She loves her sister and best friend Jenna and is really sympathetic. She has a lot of pepper and knows what she wants but can be so sweet as well. She loves animals. She likes to stay up at night and sleep in all morning. She has beautiful green/blue eyes and long long eyelashes. Her giggle is contagious. She still can wear 24 month old pants. She likes to play dress up and shoes. she maybe small but she has massive personality. We love you DEE DEE (nickname Jenna gave her).

So Jimmy told me last week to have the kids ready and bathed and that I was to get out of the house for a while. So I went with my good friend out to eat. I had no idea he was going to get pictures done. Then yesterday he gave me a card with some of the pictures on it. I was so happy. What a great idea for my birthday. We have been a tad slow with pics so this relieved alot of that stress. They turned out so good. We are going to blow some up and get frames for our house. I can finally replace the ones of the girls when they were 18 months. It really has been that long. Thanks to my wonderful husband and friend Jimmy. He makes me so happy and I am so grateful I am his wife, and for my adorable kiddos and for being good for Daddy. I love my family. I had an amazing birthday!

SO it has been really hard to keep this up. But I am going to try and do better. The Holidays were wonderful! We spent Christmas in SL and New Years here @ home. Jimmy Just got a big promotion at his work. HE is now a computer programmer! Just what he went to school for. I am so happy for him. I am still busy being a MOM but am trying to find things that I can do for me. The twins started Primary this month! And Landon is going to be in Nursery in March! I can't believe it. We still love Logan, minus the air...:( SO that is us. Hope all is well with all of you.:)

So it's been so long since i have updated our family. We are very well. We still live in Logan and love it. Jimmy is done with his BA this week and we are so proud of him. It has been a long road. Danika and Jenna are 3 now and will be in Primary in January!!!! EEK! Landon is 1 and the happiest lil' guy. HE loves his sisters and they play so well together. They are going to be so close, and we are happy about that. I am still at home and Jimmy is looking to change jobs here. No telling where the Lord will take us but we are excited to move on.Hopefully up as well. :) It's beautiful here in Logan. Fall really agrees with it. I love it because it is so different than anywhere i have lived. We love the ward and Jimmy is the music coordinator and i am the compassionate service leader. So not too bad. SO that is all for now. Hope you all are well and hope to keep this up. We love you and just know the Lord does too. SMILE!!!

I don't blog very often, but I'm studying HTML right now, and this is a great place to practice it. I just gotta say that KIM is the best. Run your mouse over her name to see why...

I only have 5 more classes after this one, so I hope I can survive. It will be so nice to have my bachelor's degree. To not have to wake up at 5am for Saturday classes, to not have to give up family time to get that *&^%$ assignment turned in before midnight... it'll be nice.

I like to make their hair go wild. They actually hate it but i don't care, i have to have some fun. They also love their little heart buckets. They pretend they are going to the store and putting on their hats. It is so fun to watch what little imaginations my kids have. I am constantly entertained. I don't know realize much time goes by with just me watching them play together. They are truly the best of friends.

so Jimmy did the polar plunge this year. It's for the Special Olympics. He got to jump in Hyrum dam at a whopping 30 degrees! He jumped with some buddies from work. His fam came up to see him and to visit with us afterwards. CRAZY husband of mine.

So it's been a while i know. We are all getting over the sick bug that has been going around. So no fun. Well it snowed about a foot yesterday and the girls loved it. I made them snow balls and they threw them. They also took a taste. I remember doing that. Landon is getting so big. He is such a chunky monkey. He is 6 months old! I can't believe it. So i need to update. Things have changed around here. Jimmy has gone back to nights(YUCK) for the both of us. He is also tackling school @ the same time,. BUT... He only has 6 more classes and he will have his Bachelors in computer science. It has been along road for him. Hurah Jimmy!!! I am trying to start my business, Starswirlcreations! I make wooden signs and crochet blankets. So i will let you know how it goes. There is this cool website, etsy.com, that sells handmade things. I am way excited. I still have to set up my shop. i am also exercising. I have lost about 5 lbs! Yeah!!! I was also called to be the compassionate service leader in our wonderful ward. I love our ward. We have so much fun. i am meeting some of the best friends here. So that is me. The kids are busy as normal 2 1/2 yr olds are. The girls are potty training right now. So far nothing major. We are getting some panties this week and going gung ho. I just can't so 3 in diapers anymore. But i hate to potty train as well. AHHHH!!! Landon is a whopping 16/9 lbs! He is a tank. I have to post some pics. He is also teething @ 5 months. So his happy disposition isn't entirely the same these days. But he is still so easy and mellow. Other than that we are doing well.

So it's New Years! Cheers all! As you also know it is that time of year for goal making. I have to admit... i haven't been big on this tradition. I am terrible at keeping up on stuff like that. Jimmy and i have set little goals like stay happy, or get rich(HAhAHA) but never anything serious. SO... i would like to set some goals for all you to gape at so you can keep me on my toes. Here goes:

1. Don't worry. Just enjoy the ride
2. Exercise!!! Chances are i might not
get too thin, but at least i can HONESTLY
say i am trying.
3. Read my scriptures more and Pray.
4. Have consistent FHE
5. Stay as happy as i am now(AHHH!!!)

So this is our fun CHRISTmas story. We needed to get back on CHRISTmas night so Jimmy could get back to work the next morning. We knew it was going to be a bear out there so we planned to get on the road early. Well... it didn't happen. We left Mom and Dad's @ 9:00 p.m. Not the best time when there is a blizzard going on. Knowing what we know now we should have stayed the night. But then we wouldn't have had this experience. So anyhows, we're driving through Salt Lake and it is just pounding us hard. We were going 30 to 35/mph the whole way. The freeway wasn't even plowed. We finally get past Lagoon and it is still coming down. By the time we got to Brigham City we were going on 3 hours! It takes about 2 hours from Riverton to Logan.So we were getting tired. Well we saw the canyon was limited to chains only or 4x4. We had neither so we called everyone to let them know we had to take Tremonton.(Loooong way around). As we went on we ended up taking the wrong exit. We ended up in Garland, a pokey but cute little town. There was one gas station but it was closed. There was nothing open. It was dark and there was noone we could ask to help us. It was getting late and we were getting a bit nervous. We also had a little one screaming in the back and so you can probably appreciate our dilema.We ended up out of town in the middle of nowhere. Jimmy stopped and we decided to say a prayer. I was so scared. It was snowing again and we didn't know where we were. As we ended the prayer and turned our van around, out of nowhere, headlights shown on us. As it got close we noticed it was a cop! we both looked at eachother and said, "No way!" It was that quick. He got us back on track and called Cache Valley and told us if the borders were still closed. Then he turned around and headed back from where he came from. There was no reason for a cop to be out there. No reason at all. We were so relieved. And in awe as well. We were also fortunate to not skid off the road or get stuck. (Except for when we pulled up to pur home and got stuck right in our parking place! How funny is that.) When we got into the valley the borders had reopened. We got home @ 2:30AM! Crazy. But we had a little miracle happen that we will never forget. We are so appreciative of our Heavenly Father and Savior for looking out for us that night. They are our constant guide and without them there would be no meaning to anything. And thanks to all those prayers said in our behalf. We are dicovering there were several and we know we are blessed to have those people in our lives. Thankyou.

Well it is that time of year again. There have been so many things i am grateful for. I want to express my love for my wonderful husband. Jimmy is amazing. He is so right for me. We have so much fun, even in the dark times. There have definately been dark times. I love him and can't wait to spend the rest of my life and eternity with him. He is truly the kindest and most unselfish person i know. He makes life wonderful for all of us. I feel i am the luckiest gal alive to have such wonderful and beautiful kids. I am so honored they have come to our home to share in this life with us. They make life a constant surprise and help me on my journey. There are days i don't have the patience i should. But they love me anyway and give me the love i can only hope i deserve. I cherish our little memories we are creating and hope they will always know Mommy loves them. What an exciting year. We love our home, as small as it is. We love the small town feel. Being away from family has definately been a challenge. But has made us so strong and forced us to rely on each other and others. We have made so many new friends and love them all. We know that we are meant to be here.
I am so grateful for my Savior. He is so kind. So patient with me. I hardly know how to properly thank Him. HE has seen me through more than anyone can know. I wish i didn't make so many mistakes. I wish i could just do everything i need to do. But i know he is always there, pushing me along and carrying me when i can't take another step. I love Him. More than anything. I am grateful for the knowlege of His exsistance in my life. I hope to make Him proud and do his sacrifice justice. Thankyou to you all for being so wonderful. I love all of you wherever you are and hope life is full of as much love as you need.

Here are some more pics of our kids. i know we are so boring but hey we really don't do anything else. So here they are. The one of Danika was so cute. We found her asleep in their toy container. She can sleep anywhere. Landon is starting to laugh right now. We have a video of it. I don't know if it will load. He is all smiles. It's so refreshing to be around him. It cheers me up. The girls are fun with him. They dance around him and kiss him all day. Jenna calls him Baby Boy and Danika squeels in a high pitched tone whenever he is near. It's like she can't stand just looking at him, she has to hug and snuggle and kiss him all over. They make a great team.

So i got a hair cut. It was a tragic tale. I tried to give myself a haircut. I know, i am so lame. But it was to save a buck. Times are tough. Well i really botched it. I cut one side too short and all different directions. It was horrific! I started to freak out so i stopped. Jimmy came home and found the remains on the floor in the bathroom. I told him about it and he told me to get dressed and we went and got it fixed at my friends' salon. So here is the end result. I have never had it this short. But... it is so much easier for the busy life i have. Word of wisdom...Never attempt to cut your own hair. It's a loud mistake i assure you. Cheers to you all.

We are getting ready for Christmas. It came so fast. I love it that the girls are now starting to get into it. It's so fun because the magic of Santa and all that jazz is renewed for Jimmy and I. I apologize.This was the first day that got to hold Landon in the NICU. We couldn't hold him for a few days after he was born because of his lungs. We were so happy to finally hold our little baby. So i had a crazy day with the girls today. I am in the middle of potty training the girls and so little Danika, bless her heart, likes to take off her diaper and clothes as well. When i discover her, 9 out of 10 times she has gone somewhere other than the toilet or her diaper. AHHHHHH!!!!! Can i scream? Then Jenna, bless her heart as well, decides to dump all of Daddy's HOTTTTT HOT sauce all over the kitchen table! She got it all over the place. She did get a little in her eyes but not too bad. I tell you what, having kids is a workout in all directions. But as i look around my house i feel so blessed for all the little messes they make for me. The pen marks on the walls (Magic Eraser has me covered) the food in the couches (good old vacuum hasn't failed me yet) and all the toys and junk they leave out makes my home feel lived in. So i am grateful for the mess of the day. It makes me know that i am needed but also loved.

We just celebrated our 5 year Anniversary! WOO HOO! We were going to SL but it didn't work with us being sick so we stayed at home. We bought a new card game , SMACK. We got some mint Hershey kisses, which we had on our honeymoon, and some sparkling cider and played games and watched old movies. It was fun. It has been such a joy ride. I love being married to Jimmy. We have had a lot of fun as well as challenges. But when we look back on all of it we are so pleased to honestly know we are more happy than when we started out. That in itself is an accomplishment these days.

i am big on being really cheesy so i am going to list 5 favorite memories i have had these 5 years. here goes:

1. making pizza in our first apt. and having the middle come out like soup. We made such a mess but had a lot of fun.

2. Having no cars and walking to Smiths @ 7:00 pm with a few dollars of change we scrimped from our couch, just enough for one gallon of milk. I enjoyed being poor then because we really learned to appreciate things. I loved the talks of striking it rich one day and dreaming of what we would do with all that money. Then the next second saying we didn't want to be rich because we would miss the excuse to walk to the store only for a gallon of milk. We are funny that way.

3. Finding out we were having twins! Jimmy's face was white. We stayed up all night talking about it. We were so scared and had no idea i was about to go through the pregnancy from the pits. I really felt like God was mindful of us. What a surprise!

4. When we were dating i wanted to just hang out with just the two of us. We were always around our friends. So Jimmy took me up to the cabin. It was my first time there. He shared all his memories as a kid there on the way up. When we got there he took me up to the porch and put on his car stereo and we danced on the porch. It was by far the most romantic little date we had, yet so simple. I was so happy to be with him. He was and still is the best friend i have ever had.

5. We went camping once. Camping with us can be very frightening. It was before the little kiddies came along. Our tent was supposed to be a two man tent, but it fit only one of us comfortably. Well that night it rained and it leaked on us. We were also afraid because the wind picked up and we swore it was going to blow us away. Luckily we both have extremely bad luck and a sense of humor because normally this wouldn't fly. We also forgot a lot of things. But we had fun.

So there you are Jimmy. Thank you for the best 5 years i have ever had. And i really mean that. I love you sweetheart and here's to the rest of our wonderful years ahead.

here are the girls at Halloween! They weren't really excited here because they just wanted o get out the door. But i was going to go all out this year but i got bronchitis and so i stayed home with Landon. The girls were supposed to be cats but all i could do was get little paint on them. so they are supposed to be whiskers. Anyhows, enjoy!

Danika and Jenna are 2 and a half now! They are such cute girls! It is so much work having two 2 year olds but a lot of fun too. We feel truly blessed to have these wonderful spirits in our home.
